VCAN society visits underprivileged students

With the aim to create awareness among the deprived children of the basic amenities, the Voices for Children’s Aspirations and Needs (VCAN) Society organized a field visit to Door of Awareness, Garden Town Branch on October 19, 2020.

The visit that targeted 80 learners from Grade four to eight was supervised by Aimen Wasay (President VCAN). The students were presented with various modules and activities which included ice-breaking session, basic rights of children, self defence workshop, good manners, healthy eating habits, arts and crafts, storytelling aimed at enhancing their skills.

The VCAN members who conducted these activities included, Ahmad Khan, Anas Javaid, Minahil Khan, Umar Akram, Fiza Kazmi, Ahmad Saeed, Minahil Khan and Muhammad Ali.

The stories of what happens, happens for good; not to lose hope; and have a stronge belief and faith in Allah Almighty’s plan were narrated to the learners. The VCAN members also distributed bags of goodies to the learners at the end of the visit, followed by a group picture.
