VCAN Society pays visit to Shadiwal Sch to enhance skills of underprivileged children

The Voices for Children’s Aspirations and Needs (VCAN) Society of the University of Lahore paid a courtesy visit to the Government Girls High School, Shadiwal on March 3, 2021 with the aim to improve the physical and mental development of children.

The visit targeted 200 students comprised of both genders from grade three to eight. VCAN team demonstrated various modules and activities that include ice-breaking activity and COVID-19 awareness session, basic rights of children, child abuse and self-defence techniques, arts and crafts, tug of war game, healthy eating and personal hygiene, good manners and general knowledge quiz trivia. The goody bags were also distributed among the children.

Under the leadership of Manzoor ul Hassan (Director Event Management), the VCAN team performed really well. The team members who conducted these activities included Amna Hashim and Sahal Sajid, Hafiz Ahmad Sameed, Ans Javed, Momna Mansoor, Usman Ali, Rimsha Akhtar and Muhammad Ali, Eman Zahra, Sana Arshad, Amna Rashid and Saisabeel Saifullah, Ahmad Mehmood Dogar , Usama Awais,  Syeda Fizza Kazmi, Musaver Malik, Maryam Fatima, Musaver Malik, Hamza Aslam, Areeba Asif, Rimsha Maqsood and Amna Saeed.
