At the core of UCMD, is its mission to build competent, intellectual and well-rounded health care professionals. Keeping with it, UCMD expanded its extracurricular portfolio with the addition of a new multi-purpose sports complex. It was inaugurated by the Director Student Affairs, Mrs Amarah Awais Rauf, and the Prorector Health, Dr Shahid Malik on the 22nd of August 2019. Also present were senior faculty and the student body. This state of the art sport facility provides students with a choice to take up an array of sports to unwind from the strenuous study medicine requires. This complex houses a professional basketball court, boxing ring, table tennis tables and badminton courts among a plethora of other professional level installations. On occasion of the inauguration a ceremonial badminton match was held between the senior faculty and students, along with one that allowed the faculty to face the senior staff. The Prorector Health also partook in a friendly table tennis match with members of the student body.
The sport complex also houses a new male common room exclusively for students of the UCMD. The common room provides a comfortable, air-conditioned environment for medical and dental students to take a break from their studies and socialize amongst one another. The room features abundant seating, along with board games and other resources to help students pass their time.
Alongside the sports complex, a multipurpose auditorium was also added within the UCMD. Auditorium 5 has a maximum seating capacity of 600 students allowing flexibility of usage, along with being the largest in the college.
