In the month of October, 2020, the Department of Career Services and Corporate Linkages (CSCL), organized multiple skills development sessions for BBA final year students of the Lahore Business School (LBS) at the Defence Road Campus, Lahore. 

The first session on Effective Resume Writing was facilitated by Muhammad Adnan Ibrahim (Senior HR Business Partner – KFC) on October 8, 2020. He explained the characteristics of a good and effective resume and the ways a recruiter gets impressed by it. He also addressed customized skills in accordance with the job description of the post applied for.

The second session on Gaps in Job Hunt Strategies and Interviews was facilitated by Muhammad Ali Khalid (CEO and Founder Partner – Get Work Now) and it focused on the need to change strategies with time, value of social media in job searching and the factors required for interview preparations such as appearance, body language, anxiety, confidence level and information about the job and organization.

On October 20, 2020, Amna Kamal (AM Training and Development – CSCL) conducted the third session on Emotional Intelligence. She ably handled emotional intelligence in personal and professional life and considered success as the result of good intelligence quotient (IQ) coupled with a stable emotional intelligence (EQ). 

Mr. Imran Jabbar (Professional trainer) addressed the students during the last session held on October 22, 2020 and trained them how to handle themselves during an interview. He focused on the vocal and body language especially during the interview. 

According to the organizers, these sessions were very fruitful for the students and they also earned three credit hours for their participation.
